"I Wanna Give A Shout Out!"

No, I don't want to talk about Health "Insurance" Reform, or Cap & "Tax," or any number of other things eating at me lately. If nothing else, could we at least have a President that knows how to act as if he has a soul, can feel for individuals, show respect,  and behave with presidential deportment at a time of solemnity and heartache for our country and members of our armed forces? He has once again shown that the answer to that question is a resounding NO! Whether you agree with his agenda or not, how could anyone not have felt a combination of embarrassment and anger at the callousness and flippancy in which he broached and treated the subject of the Fort Hood killings the day they took place.

Mr. President, the key word there is "President." You are the President of the country God has surely shone his face upon, the greatest, most compassionate country on the face of the earth. Yet, when 12 (now 13) of our finest defenders are gunned down on their own soil by a lone coward, you find it more important to go ahead and "give a shout out" and speak so casually about something else, before finally beginning to address it, almost as an afterthought. It did not matter what the original purpose of the statement was about. It should have waited. Our soldiers deserved the respect and recognition due them from the person who is supposed to be their Commander in Chief. That should have been foremost on your mind. I'm afraid, Mr. President, it was another very telling moment, telling about your lack of true compassion and true respect. Respect for our country's defenders and for the office you hold.

By the way, Mr. President, I must correct you on several other points. The first is, no one ever "wins" the Congressional Medal of Honor. It is a gift of deepest respect and acknowledgment bestowed upon an exceptionally honorable hero by a grateful nation.

The second is, you need to fire your "fact-checker" or at least look at your notes before you stand at the podium. That gentleman was not a Congressional Medal of Honor recepient, but a Medal of Freedom recepient.  I'm sure he picked up on your shallowness when you spoke so carelessly and in error.

The third is, such a person should not receive a "shout-out." It wasn't some beer summit or boys night out. He should have been addressed with dignity.

Lastly, I'm sure our military forces are really comforted by your statement to insure their safety "at home." Somehow, I think those currently at home, may be somewhat concerned for their brothers and sisters serving in a foreign battlezone, and wondering if you are going to support and help them attain victory, or just keep "dithering" with their lives.

Michelle Bachman Rules! Join Her

I know it has been a while since I was here. There has been so much going on, so fast, that no one person can keep up with it, and it has felt overwhelming. However, I have to comment on what Congresswoman Michelle Bachman is trying to organize, and I want to encourage participation, if not in person, then by phone calls, emails, letters, faxes....anyway you can!

The vote concering this horrendous healthcare reform bill, (the most bloated, liberty snatching, 2000 page, patch-work piece of legislation in American History) is set for a vote on Friday. Does anyone else wonder why it is called "healthcare reform" when the issues are not with American healthcare, but with "medical insurance" issues? I suppose it is to pull on people's heartstrings, to "feel" rather than "think."  So the real purpose of this legislation is hidden to those who have not kept informed. Anyway, I digress.

Congresswoman Bachman wants to have as many people as can, come to the Capital on Thursday, November 5, 2009, and make their voices and opinions known on this bill. To make it abundantly clear to our legislators that a large number of us are well-informed, and DO NOT WANT this power-grab, garbbed as compassionate legislation, passed into law!

It is true that most of us cannot physically be there. Either we are still among the lucky that still have jobs, or are among the victims of this adminstration, that have lost their jobs. We also do not have the luxury of having our trip paid for by ACORN or SEIU or Move-on.or.

However, on Thursday, November 5, 2009, we need to flood Congress by all means of communication possible. We can still make our voices heard, in mass, again, that day. The 9/12 March on Washington was not the winding down, post-climax of our movement......but the true beginning! Let us show that we are still watching, listening, learning, shouting, and we will not be dissuaded or ignored!

Long live the Constitution of the United States!

Susan from California...You Go Girl!!

Everyone needs to hear this!! She said so well, what all Conservatives are feeling! I could tell you about it, but that would not do it justice. This private citizen, wife, mother and Patriot, let her passion speak for her, and us. It did not matter that she is no public speaker or media person. She was speaking from her well-informed, knowledgable mind, and her passionate heart, and she did it with at least a million people listening!

I admit that I am a "Rush Babe" because I am a loyal listener to the Rush Limbaugh Radio Show. Even if you aren't a Rush Fan, you really need to go to his web-site and click on the link to hear Susan. You don't have to be a 24/7 member because he has the link set up so anyone can listen to it for free, he was that impressed by her. After she said what she needed to say, Rush talked her through it to help get that emotion channeled into positive action. If she doesn't bring a tear to your eyes and get you to stand up and shout, then you are too far gone into the "Dark Side" to be reached!!

Please go to it. You will be moved and inspired.

The Tea Party Heard 'Round The World!

Prior to having the privilege of being one of more than one-million attendees (Yes, those are the latest official numbers.) at the March on Washington, D.C. on September 12, I was finding myself frequently both angry and worried. Everyday, a dozen news items would cause those emotions to rise to the surface. Elected officials caring more about gaining and keeping power than what is good for American citizens. Elected officials pandering to special interest groups rather than taking care of the business of our Country. Elected officals and stuck on themselves celebreties, calling good, hard-working, and loyal Americans making their voices heard (many for the first time), disgusting names such as racist extremists, angry mobs, ignorant teabagging rednecks, and accusing us of inciting violence. Congress attempting to spend us into oblivion, yet still blaming past administrations. The continued attacks on American Free Markets. I guess taking over financial institutions and GM were not enough, now President Obama is considering "bailing out" some major newspapers! (I wonder why he would want to do that? Interesting, uh?) The president, Czars and other adminstration officials bringing Chicago-style political tactics on steroids to our Capital and mocking and stomping on our Constitution. The list goes on and on.

Today, President Obama took the great "Blame America First, and Love Me" Road Show to the United Nations, with the leaders of Iran and Lybia in attendance. I actually hate to say it, but the president reminds me of a preppy teenage drama queen that finds herself drawn to the bad boys who always in trouble in school, and being disgusted by the nice, polite, good boys with promising futures. But, she wants ALL of them to want her.

Yet, today, I found myself feeling pity for President Obama. (Yea, I was shocked by it too!) I have come to the conclusion that this man has a boulder sized chip on his shoulder, causing him to be cold, unhappy at his core, self-absorbed, having no spiritual compass, and harboring deep-seated angrer and resentment at the very country in which he has acheived such success. I also believe that his "soul-mate" wife shares these same issues and resentments. That is genuinely a sad conclusion to come to.

However, on September 12, 2009, I spent a wonderful day with over one-million patriotic American citizens, from all walks of life, of all races and ethnicities, income levels and religious beliefs, sharing the experience of expressing love of country and the people of that country. These citizens have decided to be silent no more, and are finding themselves energized and rejuvenated as they take on the battle of their lifetimes, that of taking our country back! The march was so totally polite, peaceful, yet loud and passionate! Why, we even shocked the D.C. Parks and Recreation Department, in that we damaged nothing, and cleaned up after ourselves. Compare that to the disgusting damage to the grassy areas and the mass of strewn debris left by the crowd that attended President Obama's inauguration. I have seen the pictures of the aftermath, and those that attended that event should be embarrassed by what was left.

Let it not end with the last physical step of that march. Let us continue the fight by continuing to remain informed of events, by keeping the phone lines to elected officials at all levels of government, burning up with calls, by writing letters and sending emails and faxes, by forming local support groups with like-minds.

I fully believe they took notice, even though they did not want to. They probably think that was the last great breath of our movement, and that their shenanigans and "remaking" of America can continue. We will show them how wrong they are! That was just the real beginning of our movement. It was the TEA PARTY HEARD 'ROUND THE WORLD,"  and the beginning of the American Revolution II.

Demi Moore-An Admitted Servant to the President

Everytime I think there is no way my jaw can possibly hit the floor any harder, I find out differently! I continue to be disgusted that someone is in the Whitehouse of the American People, who is the most grandious community organizer ever seen in this country......not a patriotic, passionate leader and statesman. And.....he continues to have his cult-minions and blind followers, who just can't seem to see beyond the feelgood, Utopic emotions and find their intellect and logic.

He and his adminstration continue to insure that his presense pervades all element of our society, be it in press conferences, speeches, radio addresses, photo ops, books, posters, etc. Now, he is strengthening his presense in our public schools, especially the elementary school level.

Firstly, the adminstration's co-project with educators to influence children through an hour long video and lesson plans, into thinking about how they can "help" President Obama.

Secondly, there is the 4 minute long video where all the "great brains" of our pop-culture, express their pledges to help others and, of course, help President Obama. Parts of the video seem harmless and innocent enough, even presenting some kind, thoughtful ideas. However, the longer it goes on, the further left the pledges travel, clearly showing their loyalty to their Great Leader!  I think that the pledge that Demi Moore gives near the end, was maybe not worded as she intended, but was clearly a Freudian slip............She pledged to be "a servant to our President."  If you have not seen it, go to this link:

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=wqcPA1ysSbw

This was shown to children in our schools! I do not want to espouse hate, to name call,  or to accuse President Obama of being a Communist. Getting so fired up over the events playing out in our country, that we give those who seem to follow-him, ammunition to attack us instead, does not help our cause. We have to continue to have a solid grasp of the facts and of history, to win the battle of ideas and ideals.

However, let us not forget cult-like leaders of history, and how they operated, gained such influence over the minds and emotions of so many people, with emphasis on the young. Consider this quote from the Manifesto of the Communist Party written in 1847 by Karl Marx and Fredrick Engles:

"But, you say, we destroy the most hallowed of relations, when we replace home education by social.

And your education! Is not that also social, and determined by the social conditions under which you educate, by the intervention direct or indirect, of society, by means of schools, &c.? The Communists have not invented the intervention of society in education; they do but seek to alter the character of that intervention, and to rescue education from the influence of the ruling class.

The bourgeois clap-trap about the family and education, about the hallowed co-relation of parents and child, becomes all the more disgusting, the more, by the action of Modern Industry, all the family ties among the proletarians are torn asunder, and their children transformed into simple articles of commerce and instruments of labour."

Scarey, isn't it? There is a second quote I would like for you to think about. This particular one is from the Principles of Communism written by Fredrick Engles, also in 1847. In this excerpt, I can see some shades of President Obama. See if you agree.

"[ Bourgeois Socialists: ]

The second category consists of adherents of present-day society who have been frightened for its future by the evils to which it necessarily gives rise. What they want, therefore, is to maintain this society while getting rid of the evils which are an inherent part of it.

To this end, some propose mere welfare measures – while others come forward with grandiose systems of reform which, under the pretense of re-organizing society, are in fact intended to preserve the foundations, and hence the life, of existing society."

I don't know about you, but, I don't think we should follow the example of Demi Moore. I try to be of service to others, and I agree that such service is just and nobel. But I will be a "servant" to no one but the Lord! Afterall, in the the Democratic Republic known as the United States of America, the President, and all other elected and appointed officials, work to "serve" American citizens, not the other way around!

I'm The Enemy? Why Didn't Anyone Tell Me!

Thomas Jefferson once said, "I am mortified to be told that, in the United States of America, the sale of a book can become a subject of inquiry, and of criminal inquiry too."

I can honestly say that it is not paranoia, nor any other kind of psychotic break with reality to say, it is a sad day when American Citizens that have honest, sincere, well-informed disagreements with top, governement officials, have again been called "Domestic Terrorists." Below is an excerpt from the Organizing for America website, that was apparently scrubbed from the website within the past couple of days. I found this excerpt on www.redstate.com .

 RedState Website Sept 1, 2009

Posted by Dan Spencer (Profile)

"What day? Our US Senators return to DC the Tues after Labor Day. That next FRIDAY, Sep 11, is Patriot Day, designated in memory of the nearly three thousand who died in the 9/11 attacks.

All 50 States are coordinating in this – as we fight back against our own Right-Wing Domestic Terrorists who are subverting the American Democratic Process, whipped to a frenzy by their Fox Propaganda Network ceaselessly re-seizing power for their treacherous leaders.........."         You can read more of the article at the link below:

Now, I have disagreed vehemently with various policies of other Presidents, especially President Carter and President Clinton. Even so, those differences did not intice me to think that either of them hated America or considered the American People the enemy. However, that is not the case with this President. It actually causes me pain to have it made more clear every day, that while he now engages in an Overseas Contingency Plan against our foreign enemies, he and his administration are engaging in an all-out war against entire segments of the population of his own country; a population he is supposed to serve, protect, and lead.

Think about these few examples.
1.  The GIVE Act cannot be called anything else but parts of a propaganda campaign.

2.  The Cap and Trade Bill will put a stranglehold on many parts of our business sector and the pockets of American families.

3.   He essentially took over banks and General Motors.

4.   The house version of Health Care Reform (or as it is now called, Health Insurance Reform....Ha!) will gradually, but certainly, put even more control of our personal, private and financial affairs in the hands of the government and mean slow death to the medical insurance business sector.

5.   The President accused doctors of perfoming unnecessary surgical procedures just for the money.

6.   There was the "flag@ whitehouse.gov" snitch-site.

7.   The keeping of tracking cookies of private citizens who visited websites of the adminstration.

8.   The Whitehouse is going to retain copies of emails, etc., from citizens to put permanently in the National Archives as part of the Whitehouse records, even though the statute they give as the reason, does not apply to these.

9.   There was the memo put out by Homeland Security to law enforcement, that profiled people such as me, to be in need of watching and being aware of as possible threats.

10.   The administration has staff that peruse websites and blogs. (Dear Sir/Mam- Just make sure you spell my name right. It is Alice Lammonds!)

11.   When auto dealers logged onto the required government website to complete transactions for the great, Cash for Clunkers debacle, they received notice that their computer and it's network just became the property of the United States Government.

12.   The Regulatory Czar Cass Sustein and his crew are looking at ways to shut-down the internet incase of a "National Secuity Event."

13.   The President wants to form, in his own words, a "Civillian National Security Force" just as well funded as our military. (Can we say ...the warping and disfiguring of Americorp into Brownshirtcorp ?)

14.   In February 2009, just prior to becoming the Green Czar, Van Jones referred to Republicans as "assholes," in a speech he gave. (His words, not mine.)

15.   The President and the adminstration called out his supporters (such as SEIU thugs) to disrupt efforts of other citizens trying to be get their congressmen and senators to listen to them for a change.

16.   Mark Lloyd, the Diversity Czar has plans to use Local Advisory Boards to monitor, report on and essentially control programming content on local radio stations. (Can we say the returning to life of the vile Fairness Doctrine to control talk radio?)

17.   Now, the Organizing for America Website, in a call to action for its troops to occur on September 11, 2009, referred to people who are against all the current drafts of health care and medical insurance reforms, as "Right-Wing Domestic Terrorists."

All this brings me back to the opening quote. Only now, it is not just what books are published and read, it is any kind of media and communication, including on a personal and private level, and if you disagree, you are a misinformed, ignorant, disloyal, racist  ENEMY! What else can anyone make of it?? If you have another logical, reasonable explanation, please tell me. President Obama is not a statesman nor a leader. Such persons would not refer to themselves so darned much! (I, I, I, ...Me,Me, Me...Mine, Mine, Mine...etc.) He is a community organizer who is the public face of a much larger movement.

I'll close with another Thomas Jefferson truism:  "If God is just, I tremble for my country."

KISS-Keep It Simple, Stupid!

I watched the "Anointed One" in Montana today. I still find it difficult. His speech cadence, his elitist mannerisms, the way he holds his head so high. Even if I agreed with his agenda, the way he presents himself puts me off. But.......I digress. It was still full of talking points, even though there were some corrections from the last Town Hall. One was while he was talking again about a diabetic having a foot amputation. This time, he did not say that the doctor treating it might decide to "line his pockets" with more money by performing the amputation. Most people know that the doctor does not perform that procedure. It would be referred to a surgeon. Plus, that righteously angered physicians. Today, he focused on the cost of the procedure by the surgeon. (I guess Axelrod told him, "Hey, Prez! You really stuck that amputated foot in your mouth! You better do better this time!")

His approach changed from a focus on "Health Care Reform" to "Health Insurance Reform." I guess he thinks that we wouldn't get angry about attacking another evil business like we do about attacking our doctor! Well, it didn't work for me. He also said there were no such entities as "Death Panels" in any of the legislation. I have read about the panels in the legislation, and I think the name fits. But then, the Senate goes and announces that they have taken out the aspect about End of Life Counseling and the so-called "Death Panels." Excuse me......but, how can you take something out of something that it wasn't in?? Can we say, faux pax? Betcha can.

Over all, I have no problem with logically, carefully and thoroughly exploring for ways to make our health care delivery system more accessible to all citizens. Notice I said "citizens."  But I don't want the government running it, or even over-regulating it. I personally think that the Medicaid and Medicare systems need to be dismantled, eliminated. All they do is make people more dependent on government programs. I see it everyday in the work I do, and it both saddens and frustrates me. I have no problem with helping those who really cannot help themselves or giving a hand-up to someone in a tough spot. But I truly despise hand-outs. Those do not help anyone.

Now, I know I am not an all-knowing politician or bureaucrat, but perhaps it could be something as simple as helping people have choices. Employers offering it as a job benefit can remain one choice. If you have to obtain your own, then chose the company, policy and benefits that suit you, and purchase it. Based on your income, there could be a sliding scale monthly government stipend to assist low income persons and families in purchasing their own choice. As income changes annually, so would the stipend. Encourage personal Health Savings Accounts, don't make them illegal. If a person chooses only catastrophic coverage, that would be their choice. If they want all the bells and whistles and can pay for it, fine. Take a look at portability, COBRA, and pre-existing conditions situations. Perhaps those issues could use some tweaking. Let us not forget about the clear need for torte reform! These are just some thoughts. The key is to empower more citizens, help them be more independent.

BUT UNDER NO CIRCUMSTANCES, SHOULD THE GOVERNMENT BE IN THE HEALTH INSURANCE BUSINESS AS A PROVIDER! It needs to get out of it, not get into it deeper. Reduce the bureaucracy, don't make it bigger. No government politician or bureaucrat should tell my my doctor and me what my family and I need and don't need.

Go to this link and listen to what one of our greatest Americans, Ronald Reagan, said about Socialized Medicine as far back as 1961!

Oh My! Obama Was Right!

Today in New Hampshire, President Obama had a flash of brilliance and showed great insight! ....No, I haven't lost it, nor have I gone over to  the dark side. How many times during the past 7 months, have concerned Americans spoken out against the cancerous growth of governement? How many times during the past 7 months, have concerned Americans pointed out that, while the government does have its pupose and duties, how well does it actually "run" anything? The fiscally depleted Social Security Security, Medicaid and Medicare Systems, corrupt and bankrupt government housing loan programs, wasted TARP and stimulus monies, and on and on.

Well, President Obama must agree with us, and stated so! He was talking about how "his" healthcare plan (wherever that may be, no one has seen that one) will not replace private health insurance, but will actually "compete" with it, and competition is a good thing. After all, "look at Fed-Ex and U.P.S.," they compete with each other and they are doing "just fine." But the United States Post Office, that's another thing!

He was right! After all, it is a government entity!.............Check and Mate!

Nazis, Conservatives and Mobs...Oh My!

Speaker Pelosi and, those following suit, are putting forth their own “disinformation” about the so-called crazy, organized, un-American, racist, Right-Wing mobs, carrying Nazi swastika signs. It’s true that a few have shown up, but if you pay attention to them, they are to make a point about the concern felt that current government policies do have an errie touch of Facist and Nazi-like points, whether or not that is the intent of the policies.

There is a hypocritical aspect to there statements. It did not seem to bother Senator Pelosi, many other Democrat officials, nor the main-stream press when such signs and slogans showed up at Anti-Bush protests. (See Washington Times article at   http://www.washingtontimes.com/weblogs/watercooler/2009/aug/06/pelosis-visions-swastikas/  ) Then, it was just passionate citizens exercising their right to free speech. And they were right. It may have been distasteful and disrespectful, but they had a right to do it. It just seems ironic how they react now that the tables have turned.

Now, I am not a conspiracy theorist, but I believe it has been clearly shown that some on the Left, knowingly have strong Socialist leanings. There are many others who don’t recognize this path for what it is. They are apparently ignorant of history and operate from two personal motivations. One is emotion driven. The government’s job is to take care of those of us in the masses, because we can’t take care of ourselves. The other is the desire to obtain and retain the power that gives them. However, there are lessons in history that should be learned well, and remembered, or we will be doomed to repeat the mistakes of the past.

Nazi Germany was considered to be on the “Right,” and in some respects, that could hold some credence if you don’t take the time to actually read and think about the big picture at the time. However, Nazi Germany was actually Facist, with strongly centralized government power, most of that power lying with one person. That person was Hitler. That’s what made it Facist. It was cult-like, revolving around him. (Does that ring anybody’s bell about now?)

Below you will find just a few key points I found interesting, in the 25 point program of the National Socialist Party of Nazi Germany, which grew out of the German Worker’s Party, with the influence of Hitler.

7. We demand that the State shall make it its primary duty to provide a livelihood for its citizens. If it should prove impossible to feed the entire population, foreign nationals (non-citizens) must be deported from the Reich.

10. It must be the first duty of every citizen to perform physical or mental work. The activities of the individual must not clash with the general interest, but must proceed within the framework of the community and be for the general good.

We demand therefore:

11. The abolition of incomes unearned by work.  The breaking of the slavery of interest

13. We demand the nationalization of all businesses which have been formed into corporations (trusts).

16. We demand the creation and maintenance of a healthy middle class, the immediate communalizing of big department stores, and their lease at a cheap rate to small traders, ….

17. We demand…… the passing of a law for the expropriation of land for communal purposes without compensation; the abolition of ground rent, and the prohibition of all speculation in land. *

19. We demand that Roman Law, which serves a materialistic world order, be replaced by a German common law.

20. The State must consider a thorough reconstruction of our national system of education ……… The curricula of all educational establishments must be brought into line with the requirements of practical life. The aim of the school must be to give the pupil, beginning with the first sign of intelligence, a grasp of the nation of the State (through the study of civic affairs).

23. We demand legal warfare on deliberate political mendacity and its dissemination in the press. To facilitate the creation of a German national press we demand:

(a) that all editors of, and contributors to newspapers appearing in the German language must be members of the nation;

(b) that no non-German newspapers may appear without the express permission of the State. They must not be printed in the German language;

(c) that non-Germans shall be prohibited by law from participating financially in or influencing German newspapers, ………The publishing of papers which are not conducive to the national welfare must be forbidden. We demand the legal prosecution of all those tendencies in art and literature which corrupt our national life, and the suppression of cultural events which violate this demand.

24. We demand freedom for all religious denominations in the State, provided they do not threaten its existence not offend the moral feelings of the German race. The Party, as such, stands for positive Christianity, but does not commit itself to any particular denomination. It combats the Jewish-materialistic spirit within and without us, and is convinced that our nation can achieve permanent health only from within on the basis of the principle: The common interest before self-interest.

25. To put the whole of this programme into effect, we demand the creation of a strong central state power for the Reich; the unconditional authority of the political central Parliament over the entire Reich and its organizations; and the formation of Corporations based on estate and occupation for the purpose of carrying out the general legislation passed by the Reich in the various German states.

This information was found at the School History website, at the following link, if you would like to learn more: http://www.schoolshistory.org.uk/ASLevel_History/25pointnsdapprogramme.htm

I don’t know about you, but the content and the crystal clear “spirit” of these ( and the remaining) points, sound more to me like certain aspects of recent and proposed legislation and the direction of the Liberal Left in this country, not the Conservative Right.

Stop the Full Flowering of Tyranny

I find it difficult, lately, to know what to speak about. After all, events, legislation, executive orders, appointments, etc., have been happening with lightning speed since January 20, 2009. (Uhmmm? What changed on that date, I wonder.) Any way, it seemed to me that there had to be some common thread that has led to this phenomenon affecting the Executive, Legislative and Judicial Branches of our government. So, I thought and read for a while. I also remembered a book I read several months ago. It was written in 1963 by a Republican from Missouri named John Storm. It was called “None Dare Call It Treason.” (If you can find it, I highly recommend it.)

I then realized the things that are happening, have not just sprouted. They have been germinating for decades. The building blocks have been being laid for quite some time. These include the Great Depression, President Franklin Roosevelt’s policies, the Unions on steroids, the Civil Rights Movement, Supreme Court Justices that “legislate from the bench,” the welfare programs of the Great Society, the anti-war, free love, pro-drug, revolutionaries of the ‘60s, and the apathy and ignorance that has grown among the American population and those in leadership positions concerning their history and America’s founding principals. However, the time was not “right” for these seeds to truly take root and grow, until now. The catalyst is President Obama. However, he could not do it alone….nor is he.

I remember watching then Illinois-State Legislator Barack Obama as he gave his first major speech while at the Democratic National Convention in 2004. I knew that would not be the last we would hear from him. I thought even then, that this man was intentionally chosen and would be groomed for more. I knew nothing about him but what was said that night. However, as I watched, something seemed amiss. There was “fire” in his words, but coldness, in his eyes. Even now, that coldness remains, as well as, in my personal opinion, hints of an inner anger.

Now, there is much more known, found in his own recorded speeches, written documents and books. His family was Progressively liberal. He was raised with no clear spiritual grounding. He was abandoned by his father. His mentor as a child in Hawaii was a well-know, proudly professed Communist. He was drawn to the Anti-American elements of society. He chose to associate with those who knew how to obtain and retain power and influence, and not always in honorable ways. He was a “Community Organizer.”  He has talked about his disagreements with the U.S. Constitution. Having an opinion as to when human life begins is “above” his “pay grade,” so he supports barbaric partial birth abortions, and the withholding of medical care to babies that survive abortions. I could go on.

As for Congress, too many of them have become oblivious to what their true duties are and where their real loyalties lie. They exhibit an arrogance and elitism, looking down on the citizens they are supposed to serve. This is shown in their rush to push through legislation, without even knowing what is actually in it, for political expediency. Remember the last stimulus bill? The final draft had not even been printed! They are taking advantage of current events by riding the coattails of the personal popularity of the President. (But this is dropping.) The most recent blatant example of their arrogance is the reaction they have shown in words and deeds, concerning the Tea Parties and town hall meetings with their constituents. President Obama has also joined in their condemnation of this free speech. He has established an email address specifically for people to send "fishy" information they find about the Health Care Reform bill. He has urged his “supporters” to speak out loudly at town hall meetings as well. That would be fine, except, they have not used just words, as demonstrated by the thug tactics of ACORN and SEIU members after that call to action.

The common thread through-out recent events seems to be a true lack of understanding and appreciation of the American form of government, the principals upon which it was created, and how that great gift actually benefits everyone willing to take honest advantage of it. One example… is me. The personal details are not important here. Suffice it to say, I have, and continue to benefit from living in this great country based on my own desires and perseverance!

We, the American Citizens need to loudly and strongly, give The President, Congress, and our state governors and legislators, a refresher course in American History and Representative Republic Democracy.

1.                  As The Declaration of Independence states; “Governments are instituted among Men, deriving their just powers  from the consent of the governed.

2.                  As for the continued building of a “Welfare State,” Benjamin Franklin stated; “I am for doing good to the poor, but I differ in opinion of the means. I think the best way of doing good to the poor, is not making easy in poverty, but leading or driving them out of it.

3.                  Thomas Jefferson stated; “Law are made for men of ordinary understanding and should, therefore, be construed by the ordinary rules of common sense. Their meaning is not to be sought for in metaphysical subtleties which may make anything mean everything or nothing, at pleasure.” ( Such as a tax code so complex even tax attorneys can’t agree, or an 1100 page Health Reform Bill!)

4.        As for the judiciary, Thomas Jefferson said; " One single object...(will merit) the endless gratitude of the society: that of restraining the judges from usurping legislation."

Open Letter to President Obama and the United States Congress

"Of the People, by the People, and for the People" should not degenerate into "Of the government, by the government, and for the government."

Below are two very different views concerning the role and purpose of government and the rights and importance of the States and the individual citizen. Judging from what has been happening in Washington D.C., I believe many of you need a refresher course in History, especially American History. The excerpts I have chosen were picked for their relevance to certain recent acts that have been "crammed" through suddenly, by the Office of the President and the United States Congress such as the GIVE Act and the Stimulus Bill. The only conclusion I can reach is that these acts were intentionally forced through quickly to impede the ability of the American People to know what is hitting them! The same thing is being attempted with the Health Care Reform proposals. However, citizens are more aware of the tactics and are fighting back!

It is also becoming clear that other actions are being planned and implemented in other areas such as Gun Control, Immigration, Card Check, the act formerly known as "The Fairness Doctrine", Taxation, and on and on.....I respectfully request that you Read and Remember Who You Actually Work For.!

First is the American Tradition

Article I Section 2: The House of Representatives shall be composed of Members chosen every second Year by the People of the..States. - The United States Constitution

Article I Section 3: The Senate of the United States shall be composed of two Senators from each State. -
The United States Constitution

Article I Section 9: No Money shall be drawn from the Treasury, but in Consequence of Appropriations made by Law; and a regular Statement and Account of the Receipts and Expenditures of all public Money shall be published from time to time. -
The United States Constitution

Article I Section 9: No Title of Nobility shall be granted by the United States, and no Person holding any Office of Profit or Trust under them, shall, without the Consent of Congress, accept of any present, Emolument, Office, or Title, of any kind whatever, from and King, Prince, or foreign state. -
The United States Constitution

Amendment X: The powers not delegated to the United States by the Constitution, not prohibited by the states, are reserved to the states respectively, or to the people. -
The United States Constitution

"A wise and frugal government, which shall leave men free to regulate their own pursuits of industry and improvement, and shall not take from the mouth of labor the bread it has earned - this is the sum of good government." -
Thomas Jefferson

"Dependence begets subservience and venality, suffocates the germ of virtue, and prepares fit tools for the designs of ambition." -
Thomas Jefferson

"I predict future happiness for Americans if they can prevent the government from wasting the labors of the people under the pretense of taking care of them." - Thomas Jefferson

"It is incumbent on every generation to pay its own debts as it goes. " - Thomas Jefferson

Compare to the Principles Below

(Specific Excerpts From) The Principles of Communism
Written: October-November 1847; Frederick Engels

The slave frees himself when, of all the relations of private property, he abolishes only the relation of slavery and thereby becomes a proletarian; …The proletarian liberates himself by abolishing competition, private property, and all class differences.

What will be the course of this revolution?

Democracy would be wholly valueless to the proletariat if it were not immediately used as a means for putting through measures directed against private property and ensuring the livelihood of the proletariat.... (Just 7 of 12 Listed Steps)

(i) Limitation of private property through progressive taxation, heavy inheritance taxes,...

(ii) Gradual expropriation of landowners, industrialists, railroad magnates and shipowners...

(iv) Organization of labor or employment of proletarians on publicly owned land, in factories and workshops, with competition among the workers being abolished and with the factory owners, in so far as they still exist, being obliged to pay the same high wages as those paid by the state.

(v) An equal obligation on all members of society to work until such time as private property has been completely abolished. Formation of industrial armies, especially for agriculture.

(vi) Centralization of money and credit in the hands of the state through a national bank with state capital, and the suppression of all private banks and bankers.

(vii) Increase in the number of national factories, workshops, railroads, ships;...

(viii) Education of all children, from the moment they can leave their mother’s care, in national establishments at national cost. Education and production together.

What will be the influence of communist society on the family?

…it does away with private property and educates children on a communal basis, and in this way removes the two bases of traditional marriage – the dependence rooted in private property, of the women on the man, and of the children on the parents.

What will be its attitude to existing religions?

…But communism is the stage of historical development which makes all existing religions superfluous and brings about their disappearance. (end of excerpt quotes)

Now, as for The United States of America, Ladies and Gentlemen, let me respectfully remind you of a few facts.

No, The District of Columbia is Not a State, and that was done for a very good reason.

No, You do not have the right to take money from the U.S. Treasury without the permission of the People. And afterwards, Yes, the People have the legal right to know how much, what it was for, and how it was used.

Part of the motivation (besides improper taxation) for the American Revolution, was to also break free of monarchies and royalty. No, American Citizen should bow to a member of royalty.

Yes, The Constitution of the United States clearly defines the duties and powers of the Federal Government. All other powers and duties belong to the States and the People. Government closest to the People is the best government.

Please revist our Founding Fathers and the beliefs and principles upon which our country was founded. Follow them, and you can't go wrong. The Constitution is no more a "living" document than are the Ten Commandments. It is what it is, and it is timeless.

Take a look at the direction our country has been slowly traveling for several decades. Then pay attention to the shift up into hyperdrive that has occurred in the past few months. Compare that to the several Principles of Communism I have listed......If it matters to you, those principles will have to be "scary!" If it is the direction you want for us, then know this. More Americans are opening their eyes, ears and mouths, and I don't think you will succeed.
